Dear parents of High school band members,
At Masco we pride ourselves
not only on how great our band sounds, but also on how we look. Both are very important. Masco Music Parents assists
Mr. O'Keefe by making sure the members of the band have the proper clothing. The uniform requirements for the school
band are listed above.
Every band member needs a red band shirt and red band jacket to march
in the Oct.3rd opening day of the Topsfield Fair parade (mandatory) and for the football games (pep band is an optional activity).
You may get these from a sibling or friend who has been in the band or you may order one from Masco Music Parents' Association
(MMPA).
Girls: A concert band skirt must be purchased from
MMPA. For the purpose of uniformity, the girls all wear the same skirt. You may not wear your own skirt.
Boys: You provide your own tuxedo or rent from a limited supply
available from MMPA. A tuxedo night will be held on October 8th, 2009 from 7:30-9:00 pm in the choral
room at Masco. The cost to rent a tux is $25.00. You will need to purchase a red bow tie and cummerbund,
the cost is $10.00 through MMPA. If you have any questions, you may call or email me.
